LBM draws the public site and the client area from templates...

Applies to LBM 2.x Updated 1 November 2026

The public site and the client area #

LBM draws the public site and the client area from templates. The client area is the same place as the public site: signed-out visitors see the public pages, and signed-in clients see their account.

Several client templates are included, each with its own look (for example a hosting look, an ISP look, a SaaS look and a support look), plus a standard one. Choose the one that suits your business in the admin; your release's General or Appearance settings say how.

Note

To confirm: where the template is chosen in the admin of your release, and which templates are included.

Logo and branding #

Upload your logo and icon in Settings > General (see Business details, language and currencies). The brand in the top bar and the client sidebar is the logo alone.

Navigation in the admin menu edits the menus:

  • the public site's top bar and footer,
  • the client area sidebar,
  • the admin sidebar.

For each menu you can rename a link, give it a place (a lower number comes first), or hide it. Links that modules offer stay available: a hidden link can be shown again any time. You can also add your own links with a label, an address and an icon, and choose whether they open in a new tab. An address is either a page of this site starting with /, or an address elsewhere starting with https://.

Pages and content #

Pages such as About, Terms of Service and Privacy Policy are edited from the admin menu under site content. Replace the starter text with your own before you open.

Changing a template yourself #

Keep your changes in your own template folder rather than editing LBM's files, so updates do not replace them. An update keeps your changed files in the backup and tells you which ones it replaced.
