System status lists anything wrong with the installation...
All of these live under Settings > Utilities.
System status #
System status lists anything wrong with the installation: a missing extension, a folder that cannot be written, a scheduler that has stopped, a licence that needs attention. Check it after an install, after an update and when something odd happens.
Cache #
LBM keeps some things ready so pages load faster. Cache shows what is kept and lets you rebuild or clear it. If a change you made does not show, rebuild the cache before you look further.
Logs #
- Logs > Activity: who did what, with links to the records.
- Logs > Errors: problems LBM had. Look here when a page shows an error.
- Provisioning log: on each service, every call to a server module.
- Email history: every email and text sent to a client.
Backups #
LBM makes a backup of the database and the files it is about to change every time you install an update, and can put them back. The backups are kept in the folder the Update screen names. They are not a replacement for your own backups.
Back up regularly, outside the server:
- The database (a dump, from your host or with
mysqldump). - The
config/folder: your database connection and your keys. Without the vault key, stored passwords and API keys cannot be read from a restored database. - Your uploads and any templates or plugins you changed.
- Keep copies somewhere other than the server itself, and test a restore sometimes.
PHP info #
PHP info shows the server's PHP settings, for staff with the settings-update permission. It is useful when support asks which PHP version and extensions you have.
Import #
Import brings clients, billing and support history from another billing system. Import into a test copy first, check the result, then run it on the live install.
