Servers

A server in LBM is a machine your services run on...

Applies to LBM 2.x Updated 1 November 2026

A server in LBM is a machine your services run on: a hosting panel, a router, or a RADIUS database. When a paid order needs a service set up, LBM calls the server module for that kind of machine and records what happened in the provisioning log.

Adding a server #

Open Servers (Settings > Servers, or the Servers entry in the admin menu), and add one with:

  • a name (for you) and its hostname and IP address,
  • its module (the kind of machine it is),
  • the port and whether to use SSL,
  • the username and password or access key the module signs in with.

Passwords and keys are encrypted with your vault key and never shown again. Use Test on the server to check the connection.

Choosing the module on a product #

On the product's Provisioning page choose the module, then fill in what the module asks per product (its package, profile and so on). LBM only calls a module for the products set to use it; a product with no module is set up by hand and its status tells staff what to do.

The modules #

These server modules are in this release. Each is a separate folder: one you do not use can be removed and only that module goes.

cPanel #

Creates accounts on a WHM/cPanel server through the WHM API.

  • Server: the WHM host, port (2087), and a WHM API token with permission to create accounts.
  • Product: the package name as it is in WHM, and whether to verify the server's certificate.
  • Gives the client single sign-on to cPanel, shows the account's address and this month's transfer.

CyberPanel #

Creates accounts on a CyberPanel server.

  • Product: the package, and the PHP version.

Webuzo #

Creates accounts on a Webuzo server (Enduser panel).

  • Product: the package and whether to verify the certificate.

MikroTik PPPoE #

Creates PPPoE secrets on a MikroTik router.

  • Product: the profile, the address pool and a suspend profile (the profile an unpaid customer is moved to).
  • Shows a customer's session and whether their address is static or from a pool.

MikroTik Hotspot #

Creates hotspot users on a MikroTik router, for example for guest Wi-Fi vouchers.

MikroTik Queue #

Creates a simple queue that limits an IP address.

  • Product: the Max limit (for example 10M/10M).
  • Needs a configurable option named exactly Static IP, which is the address the customer was given.

FreeRADIUS #

Creates users in a FreeRADIUS SQL database (radcheck and group tables).

  • Product: the RADIUS group the user belongs to.
  • Optional: an option named Calling-Station-Id binds the account to a device's MAC address.

Suspend, unsuspend and terminate #

When an invoice goes unpaid, LBM calls the module to suspend the service, and to restore it when paid. Cancelling terminates it. Where a module cannot do an action, staff are told to do it by hand.

Changing a plan #

When a client or staff move a service to another plan or other options, LBM calls the module to change the package. If the module cannot be reached, the step is retried and staff can retry it by hand.

The provisioning log #

Every call is written to the service's provisioning log: what was asked, whether it worked, and the message the module gave. When something fails, start there.

Warning

Test each module on a test product and a test server before selling through it. The modules for panels and routers run against live machines.

Note

To confirm: exact settings and fields of each module's screens, and which panel versions are supported.
